Climbs up other plants with tendrils to 4ft in length. Flowers are purple/fuchsia about ½" long. Leaflets are 1 ¼" long.

Climbs with tendrils to 2ft. Leaves are leathery and 2 ½" long. Flowers are rose pink to purple and a showy 1" across. Flowers and leaves are much larger than American Vetch.
