Grows to 8" high with leafy, hairy stems. Leaves are 2" long and generally point upwards. Flowers grow in pairs to 1 ¼" long from the base of the leaves. The flower is funnel-shaped and widens at the top with two lips, the upper hooded, the lower flared with white or paler blue stripes out of the throat.
