A rare plant but widespread where it grows. It is a slender delicate plant growing to two feet high. The leaves are divided into three narrow leaflets and grow on the stems. The flowers grow from the leaf axils with four tiny white-pink-purple petals on one side of the flower and six stamens. The seed pod produced is about ½" long and contains a single row of seeds.
