Grows low to the ground with red runners and bluish leaves divided into three leaflets. Flowers are bright white and up to 1" across.

Berries are tiny, sweet and popular with wildlife and humans.

The berries of the Woodland Strawberry below are red but tasteless.

Grows to 8" high compared to Wild Strawberry. Flowers are smaller. Leaves more green and more prominently veined and deeper toothed.
