Wallflower Family:
Mustard (Brassicaceae) Flowers are more than ½" across, much larger than the other Wallflowers, Mustards and Golden Draba. It grows from a few inches to 30" high depending on life zone. Leaves are narrow and few. Flower color ranges from pale yellow to deep orange to pink-purple. Slender seed pods are straight and up to 4" long. Flora of North America reference. |

Shy Wallflower Family:
Mustard (Brassicaceae) Grows to 2 feet, very similar in appearance to E. capitatum but the flowers are much smaller, about ¼" across, and the seed pods are only 2" long. Flora of North America reference. |

Wormseed Wallflower Family:
Mustard (Brassicaceae) Grows to over 3 feet tall with grooved stems. Leaves are narrowly lance-shaped and more numerous than the other Wallflowers on this page. Flowers are much smaller, about ¼" across. The blooming stem elongates as it matures, as can be seen at the top of this plant. Seed pods are 1" long. Flora of North America reference. |
