Grows to 3ft tall with a dense cylinder of flowers on erect stems and flat leaves. Bristles are attached to the stem rather than the flowers and are green.

Grows over 3ft tall with with a dense cylinder of flowers which turns yellowish with age. Bristles are yellowish-brown.
