Grows erect to sprawling from 4" to 12" with very hairy leaves and stems. Hairs on the stems point downwards which differentiates it from Nama hispida whose hairs point upward. Flowers are ¼" long while Nama hispida flowers are ½" long.

Grows erect to sprawling from 2" to 8" with very hairy leaves and stems. Hairs on the stems point upwards which differentiates it from Nama retrorsum. Leaves are narrow and wider near the tip. Flowers can be pinkish and are ½" long with a white-ringed yellow throat.
