Thymeleaf Sandmat Family:
Spurge (Euphorbiaceae) Spreads to 16" with creeping reddish stems which have a milky juice and many branches. Flowers are tiny. Leaves are oval to oblong with toothed tips. There is often a red line in the middle of the leaf. It is frequently found as a weed in gardens.

Spurge (Euphorbiaceae) Grows in a low mass of tiny oval leaves and reddish stems which ooze milky sap when broken. Leaves do not have teeth. Flowers are tiny and surrounded by a white petal-like structure, as are all the Sandmats on this page (not visible in this photo). |
